Living organisms exhibit motility, reconfigurable and adaptable shape changes and complex dynamical patterns. Zvonimir Dogic research goals are to reproduce such diverse dynamical phenomena in simplified systems from a minimal set of building blocks. Beside potential applications in fields as diverse as robotics and microfluidics, such effort lead to discovery of the basic physical laws that govern behavior of systems that are inherently out of equilibrium. The research efforts of the group are interdisciplinary, and we extensively collaborate with theorists as well as experimentalists from different disciplines.
